Timber is the future:

DERIX expands sustainably

The DERIX Group is responding to the high demand for solid timber construction and is expanding its site in Niederkrüchten. Together with STRUCTURELAB Architekten, we are designing the new DERIX Campus, which includes additional office and administration buildings. New DERIX products (such as ribbed ceilings) are installed here and wooden surfaces remain visible. A showroom and large presentation areas showcase further products from our entire range – DERIX products are presented in a tangible way and timber construction can be experienced.

‘We are very much looking forward to the generous expansion at the Niederkrüchten site,’ says Markus Steppler, Managing Director of the DERIX Group. ‘The development we are driving towards a circular economy is being consistently implemented in our new buildings. The buildings of the DERIX Campus were designed with deconstructable elements, and the development even enables further land to be unsealed on the company premises,’ explains Steppler.

Markus Derix, managing owner of the DERIX Group, on the expansion of the site: ‘We are extremely positive about the future. Circular construction with wood is becoming increasingly important. The unbeatable advantages in terms of sustainability and climate protection are increasingly being complemented by the rewarding economic aspects that arise from the reuse of components. We are convinced that the timber construction boom has only just begun, says Derix.

The DERIX Group only added a third production site in the field of timber module construction in August 2023.
