DIN 68800 Wood protection

The four-part series of standards DIN 68800 Wood protection is of great importance for the building industry. Therefore, on the occasion of the amendment of the DIN 68800 Wood protection series of standards, representatives of building supervision, timber construction, the wood preservative industry, science, testing institutes, the sawmill industry, environmental associations, consumers, pest controllers and architects intensively discussed to what extent and where preventive wood preservatives still have to be used at all. As a result, it was achieved that the majority of common construction components can be assigned to use class 0 (GK 0) and thus the requirements for durable and environmentally compatible construction are combined.

The majority of our constructions can be classified in use class 0 by structural Wood protection measures, where chemical Wood protection is not required.
