Accommodation made of wood
The accommodation building of the correctional school in Hamm, constructed from 84 wooden modules, was built directly opposite the school building there. The building accommodates 80 students during their training and the associated block teaching periods. The rooms and bathrooms of the accommodation were built from DERIX solid wood modules prefabricated in the factory.

The three-storey building is founded on a reinforced concrete floor slab. The access core, which is offset from the centre and accommodates the general areas such as lounges, kitchenettes, technical equipment and storage areas, is conventionally built in solid construction. The adjoining individual rooms for the students are made of wooden modules prefabricated in the factory.

Wooden modules
in exposed wood quality
The wall and ceiling surfaces are finished in exposed wood quality with colourless paint. All rooms have double-wing, white plastic windows with underlighting and electric shutters. The heat is distributed via two convectors in the living room and bathroom. Each wood module has its own electrical sub-distribution. The furniture was produced and brought in by the correctional institution itself.
The bathrooms are equipped to a simple standard with a washbasin, WC and shower as well as a towel radiator and exhaust air. The entire bathroom fit-out had already taken place in the factory, so that only the hallway-side media for supplying the room had to be connected on site.
