With an area of just under 3100 m², the triple sports hall in Düsseldorf, which is accessible to the disabled, offers sufficient space for a wide range of sports activities. In addition, the grandstand offers space for 400 spectators. The pleasant atmosphere in the hall is supported by a load-bearing wooden construction. The sports hall on Brinckmannstraße makes an important contribution to promoting sport and exercise in the city and at the same time offers a modern and barrier-free infrastructure for all users.

Solid construction with
load-bearing timber construction
In addition to the diverse sports facilities, the sports hall also offers a rest room, disabled-friendly changing rooms, a multifunctional gymnastics room, disabled-friendly sanitary facilities as well as a lift system and ramps to enable barrier-free use. The hall was built using a solid construction method, whereby the lower level has a reinforced concrete construction with partially load-bearing interior masonry and stiffeners made of reinforced concrete walls. The upper level consists mainly of a load-bearing timber construction with slightly inclined laminated timber beams. The roof of the hall consists of glued wood and lattice girders.
