Riding hall construction with wood
in Haskerhorne
DERIX-Group has built the roof structure for an indoor riding arena in Haskerhorne, the Netherlands. We carried out the structural design as well as the factory planning for the timber construction, the production of the glued laminated components and the assembly of the components on site. The assembly could be completed within only five weeks.

Large usable area
due to glulam constructions
The indoor riding arena has two riding areas, one of which is 2,800 m² and the other 1,400 m². Furthermore, 20 horse stalls with a size of 20 m² each are available here. In addition, a beam ceiling made of glulam was inserted as an intermediate roof in a part of the hall. A canteen is housed here and this construction extends the area of the hall by an additional 400 m² to a total of 7,600 m².

The advantages of wood
in the Haskerhorne indoor riding arena
Due to the construction with wood, enormous spans were possible. In addition, supports made of German larch, which has increased resistance to weathering, were used in the gable area. A total of 575 m3 of PEFC-certified glulam was used for this building, which was given a UV-protective coating.
