Putting Climate Action into Everyday Life
A new film in the series
“DERIX Circular Construction Stories”

In the fourth film of our series DERIX Circular Construction Stories, we focus on a topic that couldn’t be more timely: climate protection—and the question of what each and every one of us can do to make a concrete contribution. Inspiration from the student movement Fridays for Future has motivated us to address this issue through the initiative DERIX for Future. The film shows how climate protection at DERIX is not only part of our strategy but is also actively put into practice in our day-to-day work.

The film makes it clear: Sustainable action often starts small and has an impact through consistency and collective commitment. At DERIX, we therefore focus on numerous measures that further reduce our environmental footprint in our day-to-day operations. These include, among other things, the conscious and efficient use of electricity, the ongoing transition to e-mobility, and resource-efficient practices throughout our processes.

We place a special emphasis on our employees’ commitment. Whether through participation in campaigns such as STADTRADELN, which promotes climate-friendly mobility in everyday life, or through their own ideas and initiatives, the film shows just how much motivation and a sense of responsibility there is among the DERIX workforce.

We also take on responsibility beyond the purely professional context. By installing insect hotels at some of our locations, we create habitats for endangered species, and through bee sponsorship programs, we actively contribute to the preservation of biodiversity. These measures reflect our understanding of sustainability as a holistic approach—one that is ecological, social, and long-term.

The fourth film in the DERIX Circular Construction Stories series illustrates that climate protection is not an abstract goal, but rather consists of many concrete decisions. Decisions that we at DERIX make together and continually refine—out of conviction and with future generations in mind.

Through the film series DERIX Circular Construction Stories, we provide insights into our philosophy, our actions, and our motivation. It shows how sustainable transformation in industrial wood construction is not only planned but also put into practice every day.
