Wood is the building material of the future. Its use is constantly increasing. This increasing popularity is not only due to its structural and physical advantages. The important contribution that wood can make as a building material in overcoming current challenges facing society as a whole is increasingly making it the material of choice.

New dimensions
 in engineered timber construction

Building with wood has a climate policy dimension, as wood is the only building material that binds CO2, thus removing it from the atmosphere and actively counteracting global warming. In addition, by using wood from sustainable forestry, we are conserving our resources, as wood grows back and can also be used in a circular way for the construction of a new building at the end of its service life.

The positive effects that timber construction has on the climate and the environment are complemented by the aspect of healthy living: the natural material wood has a moisture-balancing effect and thus improves the indoor air. This benefits everyone who spends time in buildings made of wood. The aesthetic appearance of the natural material and its enormous flexibility round off these advantages and further increase the attractiveness of the building material: countless architectural designs can be implemented to a high standard with wood.
