Universal finger joint
In frame corners of three- and two-hinged glulam frames, finger joints according to DIN EN 387 are a common choice for connecting two parts. The use of finger joints enables the transport of components and avoids the need for gluing the individual parts on site. Then, workshop conditions must be created when making the finger joints.
Manufacture of finger joints
The joints are always made in the angle bisector of the adjacent fibre directions.
