Wood-steel composite

The wood-steel bond is a further development of the HBV® system (wood-concrete bond) . With this innovation, steel parts can be connected to timber cross-sections in a shear-resistant manner by gluing them together via glued-in perforated plates. In contrast to conventional mechanical fasteners such as nails, screws or bar dowels, the wood-steel bond does not exhibit any slip and ensures a two-dimensional load transfer.

One solution for many applications

The wood-steel composite is excellently suited for a wide range of applications. Especially in the field of timber engineering, the wood-steel composite opens up completely new possibilities, as it allows a high degree of flexibility in the planning and construction of timber structures.

Advantages of the wood-steel composite

The wood-steel composite offers many advantages compared to conventional fasteners. Due to the elimination of slippage, high rigidity and load-bearing capacity is achieved. In addition, the connection is particularly durable and weather-resistant. The wood-steel composite thus opens up new possibilities in construction and enables higher efficiency and load-bearing capacity of timber constructions.
