Nesting

Nesting, also known as nesting, refers to the “puzzling” of components in a blank to reduce material consumption and make production more efficient. We produce large-format panels up to 3.60 m wide and 17.80 m long. The individual components are then cut out of the blanks in production.

Reduction of material consumption thanks to nesting

To ensure that we do not consume an unnecessary amount of material and also produce the blank only just as large as necessary, the components are subjected to “nesting” by our design department. The individual plates are grouped together according to their thickness, number of layers, layer structure, surface quality and construction section and then arranged in such a way that there is as little waste as possible and the machining tools can work.
