Ribbed ceiling & box girder ceiling
Ribbed ceiling and Hollow box ceilings are bonded, prefabricated composite cross-sections consisting of ribs or webs made of glulam and aligned in the main direction of tension. They have upper and lower panelling made of X-LAM. The bottom panelling is omitted for rib elements.
Advantages of ribbed and hollow box elements
Due to the targeted bonding of the two wood materials, these composite cross-sections represent an effective and economical construction variant compared to pure X-LAM constructions from a span width of approx. 6 m.
Use of the cavities
The existing cavities between the webs can be used as installation space or, especially in the case of box girder elements, filled with insulation or additional weight in order to significantly improve the structural-physical properties.
