Circular economy

The circular economy, also known as the circulatory economy, in contrast to the linear economy, represents a closed system that aims to minimise waste, reduce resource consumption and promote sustainability in the economy. In this concept, raw materials and materials are kept in circulation for as long as possible, while used products are not simply disposed of but used as a starting point for new products and processes.

Circular economy at DERIX

The DERIX Group is committed to a sustainable circular economy by keeping products in the cycle after their first use. Here, the natural raw material wood plays an important role, as it is a central component of the products. DERIX pursues a “technical cycle” in combination with a “biological cycle” to ensure a complete and sustainable circular economy.
