Sanitary building
made of wood
At the Unterbacher See campsite, a barrier-free sanitary building was built from two wooden modules. In addition to toilet and shower facilities as well as washing and rinsing places, the washhouse offers a bathroom suitable for the disabled as well as a family bathroom. The entire fit-out of the shower and WC rooms has already been carried out at the factory.

Barrier-free washhouse
made of wooden modules
The single-storey building is founded on point foundations and made of two wooden modules prefabricated in the factory. Prefabrication in the factory also includes the upright larch facade with three different widths (90,115,140). Accessibility is ensured by a circumferential grating attached to L-stones. The roof overhang covers the entrance area, which leads to the sanitary areas. The barrier-free bathroom and the family bathroom can be reached via two side entrances.

Complete room fitting
in the factory
The timber modules for the construction of the washhouse at Unterbacher See were made of DERIX X-LAM as well as glulam. Approximately 95 % of the modules were prefabricated at the factory. This includes finished WC and shower areas, complete electrical installation including lights, floor construction and flooring, interior doors as well as windows and facade. The modules, which were protected from the weather for transport, were only placed on site. Only the joint area between the modules and the circulation grid were added.
