CIRCL Amsterdam: Use case for circular construction with timber

The ABN Amro Bank office building in Amsterdam, ‘Circl’, is the first DERIX project in which we committed ourselves to taking back our timber components eight years ago. In fact, the building was dismantled a few months ago – a wonderful opportunity for DERIX to test the carefully planned and executed dismantling capability of its timber components.

The result: The dismantling process went smoothly, and a subsequent inspection confirmed that the condition and quality of the timber components were excellent. The dismantled timber components are currently in storage, and there are already concrete plans for their reuse in other buildings. A great, very concrete use case for circular construction with timber. Made by DERIX.
