Comprehensively sustainable

The DERIX Group’s sustainable corporate concept also anchors social commitment in its business activities. In addition to continuous improvements in the areas of production, design, reuse and energy and material efficiency, the DERIX Group therefore also attaches great importance to employee retention and satisfaction as well as social commitment. In this way, the company fulfils its overall social responsibility comprehensively and across the board.

Here are some examples of our social and community involvement:

Food bank

Brüggen

The DERIX Group donated a building extension to Food bank Brüggen. The wooden elements for this were manufactured, supplied and assembled by DERIX. The extension will be used by the food bank primarily for sorting and storing food so that the supply of food to those in need can be guaranteed.

We are delighted to have made the work of the volunteers at Tafel Brüggen easier with this donation and would like to thank them for their social commitment.

Children’s construction playground

Hochneukirch

The DERIX Group donated wood for the Hochneukirch children’s construction playground,where children can hammer, saw and build stalls to their heart’s content in the Hochneukirch Schmölderpark during the holidays. More than 100 enthusiastic children take part in this activity every year. Our donation was perfectly complemented by our supplier Berliner-Schrauben, who donated a pallet of screws. We are delighted to support this wonderful campaign and wish the children and their carers lots of fun and fantastic constructions made from wood, the material of the future!

Life Support
Heinsberg

Wooden mouldings for the visual improvement of the DERIX components are produced by Life Support Heinsberg from our wood scrap. Life Support Heinsberg is a non-profit organisation that supports around 1,800 people who require support and assistance. As one of the largest district organisations in Germany, Lebenshilfe Heinsberg enables people with disabilities to participate in working life. We are very pleased about the profitable cooperation – and also about the fact that we were able to welcome the employees of the workshop to our production hall in Niederkrüchten for a factory tour. Here they had the opportunity to experience the production site, the processes and the end products, which they indirectly help to optimise with their precision craftsmanship.

DERIX regularly donates to charitable and non-profit organisations such as Unsichtbar e.V., Sonnenkinder Weser-Ems e.V. or OsnaBRÜCKE e.V. and is committed to regional associations.
Every year, Christmas presents for customers are made from DERIX wood by Werkstatt für angepasste Arbeit GmbH .
