Spotlight on Carbon Credits
A new film in the “DERIX Circular Construction Stories” series

With the release of the second film in our series DERIX Circular Construction Stories series , we are continuing our cinematic exploration of key sustainability issues in timber construction. In this latest film, we focus on the topic of carbon credits and examine their significance in the context of a climate-friendly construction industry.

Our film series highlights how sustainable construction works in practice and the role that innovative approaches play in this. In the second part, we report on Germany’s climate target and how CO₂ emissions can be accounted for, reduced and – where unavoidable – offset through carbon credits. At the same time, we demonstrate the contribution made by wood, a material that plays a special role in climate protection as a natural CO₂ sink.

Carbon credits are a key component on the path to a climate-neutral economy. They enable us to offset unavoidable emissions whilst supporting projects that actively contribute to climate protection. We generate carbon credits for all our construction projects and pass these on to our customers upon request. In our film, we clearly explain how this system works and how we integrate carbon credits into our sustainability strategy.
