Component thickness in wood glue construction

The component thickness is a decisive factor in wood glue construction. Thicknesses of 8,10,…,26 to 30 cm are usually used, whereby the width to height ratio of b/h ≤ 10 should be maintained. An innovative solution for this: X-LAM.

X-LAM consists of cross-glued layers with thicknesses of 10, 20 and 30 mm and offers component thicknesses of 60 to 400 mm in 10 mm increments. This means that you can achieve significantly higher component thicknesses with X-LAM than with conventional methods. X-LAM is therefore an ideal solution when it comes to large spans and high loads.
