Clamped supports
Clamped supports are used, among other things, in hall supporting structures. In addition to carrying roof and deck loads, they also serve to stabilise or stiffen the supporting structure. The clamping is usually realised by means of steel plate-wood connections. An alternative is the direct grouting of the support in a sleeve foundation. However, the clamping makes larger foundation dimensions necessary.
