Het uitkragende, gebogen dak van het wegrestaurant is verbonden met het bestaande dak van het tankstation, waarbij de stalen kolommen van het tankstation als steun dienen. De rastervormige, open structuur van de dakconstructie, die bestaat uit tachtig gebogen gelamineerd houten boogliggers is kenmerkend voor de ruimte. Hangende dwarsschotten maken de constructie compleet. De dakplaat bestaat uit 791 gelamineerde houten elementen, die met Oriented Strand Board-stroken zijn verbonden. Een groen dak en 5 paar opvallende design ronde kolommen maken het totaalbeeld van het wegrestaurant af. Het restaurant is vernoemd naar de hellweg, een oude handelsroute. Bij het wegrestaurant in Geseke zijn de geometrisch complexe dakconstructies in een samenwerkingsverband ontwikkeld en wat betreft de praktische haalbaarheid geoptimaliseerd. Deze nauwe, gelijkwaardige samenwerking leidde dankzij de goede detailengineering tot een op maat gemaakte en economische realisatie van het project.\u201c<\/p>\n
