Naast conferentie- en evenementenruimtes, die ook door derden gebruikt kunnen worden, herbergt Circl een re\u00adstau\u00adrant, een Roof\u00adtop\u00adbar en een dakterras. Duurzame en circulaire principes speelden een doorslaggevende rol bij de bouw van het paviljoen. Living Lab
<\/strong>in het Circl Pavillon<\/h3>\n

De bouw was al begonnen toen ABN AMRO besloot in plaats daarvan met circulaire bouwmaterialen te bouwen. Beton werd vervangen door hout. Er was nog weinig ervaring met circulair bouwen. Daarom werden de planning en uitvoering voortdurend bestudeerd, begeleid en aangepast door talloze experts. Alle betrokken partijen hadden de ambitie om een maximaal circulair gebouw te realiseren en waren bereid hiervoor verder te gaan dan anderen. Zo ontstond een innovatief project dat al snel een voorbeeld werd voor talloze nieuwe projecten.

De houten onderdelen van DERIX bieden het voordeel dat ze meer CO2<\/sub> opslaan dan dat er vrijkomt bij de productie. Bovendien zijn ze aanzienlijk lichter dan vergelijkbare onderdelen van beton, waardoor er ook minder CO2<\/sub> wordt uitgestoten bij het transport.
Met het oog op het circulaire gebruik van het gebouw en een onbeperkte levensduur van de onderdelen, was het vooral belangrijk dat het gebouw op een later tijdstip gedemonteerd kon worden in afzonderlijke onderdelen. Het besluit om het gebouw heel consequent volgens circulariteits- en duurzaamheidscriteria te bouwen had verstrekkende gevolgen. Zo kwam de fundamentele eis dat het hele gebouw gedemonteerd moest kunnen worden voort uit het doel om circulair te bouwen. Dit leidde ertoe dat de oorspronkelijk geplande betonconstructie werd vervangen door balken van Nederlands lariks. De bal\u00adken werden daarbij slechts aan elkaar geschroefd en extra overgedimensioneerd, zodat alle opties open gehouden worden voor verder gebruik van de onderdelen. Het Circl-paviljoen is het eerste paviljoen, waarbij de DERIX-groep beloofd heeft de houten onderdelen na het einde van de levensduur van het gebouw terug te nemen. Inmiddels is deze terugnamegarantie<\/a><\/strong> als standaard voor alle houten onderdelen van DERIX ge\u00efntroduceerd. Hier\u00admee ondersteunt de DERIX-groep circulair bouwen, dat het behoud van grondstoffen maximaliseert, omdat de grondstof slechts een keer wordt gewonnen en vervolgens steeds opnieuw wordt gebruikt.<\/p>\n
