De 176 kamers en suites bestaan uit prefab houten modules van 30 vierkante meter met een vloerplaat van gewapend beton. Dankzij de snelle montage van de houten modules kon het hotel in slechts 26 maanden worden voltooid. Bij het ontwerp van het gebouw was duurzaamheid heel belangrijk. Dit blijkt uit de keuze voor het natuurlijke bouwmateriaal hout en uit het ontwerp van het hele hotel: als bijzondere eyecatcher is een atrium gemaakt en in het midden hiervan is een subtropische tuin aangelegd. Ook vind je hier een wellnessruimte met een zwembad, een restaurant, een bar en een bakkerij. Op de bovenste verdieping zorgt een skybar met panoramaview voor een spectaculair uitzicht. \u201cDankzij de soepele communicatie konden wij succesvol grensoverschrijdend samenwerken met DERIX. De expertise in dit groot denkende familiebedrijf heeft het mogelijk gemaakt dat de op maat gemaakte onderdelen voor 200 prefab hotelkamers stipt op tijd werden geleverd, zodat deze in slechts twee weken tijd op de bouwplaats konden worden ge\u00efnstalleerd. Wij waren met name onder de indruk van het aanpassingsvermogen van het bedrijf. Voor het zichtoppervlak van het hotel werd lichte, knoestvrije zilverspar geleverd. Hieraan is het standaardproduct binnen een mum van tijd aangepast. Gezien de hoeveelheden was dit een logistieke prestatie.\u201c<\/p>\n

Daarom lag het voor de hand het meest duurzame bouwmateriaal te gebruiken: hout. Bijna alle gebruikte onderdelen kunnen na demontage hergebruikt worden \u2013 dit maakt het gebouw circulair. Tegelijkertijd is er gebruik gemaakt van energiebesparende maatregelen, zoals zonnepanelen om het water te verwarmen en een warmte- en koudeopslagsysteem. Dit milieuvriendelijke concept maakt hotel Jakarta energieneutraal en duurzaam. Het gebouw is onderscheiden met het BREEAM Excellent certificaat en is het duurzaamste hotel in Nederland. De hoge mate van prefab en de snelle montage van de gebruikte houtmodules voldeden bovendien aan de eis van een snelle oplevering van het hotel.
