Begin 2024 heeft de DERIX-groep, fabrikant van circulair gelamineerd hout, een nieuwe mijlpaal bereikt op het gebied van duurzaamheid.<\/p>\n

Het bedrijf is volledig overgestapt op een nieuwe biobased lijm voor de productie van CLT in haar nieuwe fabriek in Westerkappeln, Duitsland.<\/strong><\/p>\n

De lijm “Loctite HB S Eco\u201c is een nieuwe ontwikkeling van fabrikant Henkel: het is de biobased variant van de reeds gecertificeerde Loctite PU-lijm. In plaats van fossiele grondstoffen worden voor \u201eLoctite HB S Eco\u201c 63\u00a0% biobased (hernieuwbare of gerecyclede) grondstoffen* gebruikt. Hierdoor wordt de CO2<\/sub>-voetafdruk van de lijm gereduceerd.<\/p>\n

De DERIX-groep is wereldwijd de eerste houtbouwfabrikant die de nieuwe biobased lijm toepast. De verwerking, kwaliteit en betrouwbaarheid van de lijm blijven ongewijzigd door de aanpassing, omdat de chemische samenstelling hetzelfde blijft, hoewel de oorsprong nu grotendeels biobased is.<\/p>\n

\u201eWij zijn erg trots dat we opnieuw onze rol als voorvechter van innovatie en duurzaamheid kunnen waarmaken met de introductie van deze biobased lijm,\u201c vertelt Markus Derix, directeur-eigenaar van de DERIX-groep. \u201eHoewel het lijmaandeel in onze geprefabriceerde massief houten onderdelen al ruim onder de 1% ligt, blijven we op zoek naar manieren om onze CO2<\/sub>-voetafdruk en milieu-impact nog verder te verlagen.\u201c<\/p>\n

Met de Loctite PU-lijm gebruikt de DERIX-groep een product dat volledig past bij gezond wonen. De indoor emissies (VOC) van de lijm zelf in combinatie met het zeer lage lijmaandeel in het houten product zorgen ervoor dat de emissies van de CLT-panelen ruimschoots binnen de in de EU toegestane limieten blijven.<\/p>\n

De lijm Loctite HB S, die qua chemische samenstelling precies hetzelfde is als de nieuwe biobased variant, heeft in 2020 een Cradle to Cradle Gold certificering<\/a> in de categorie “Material Health\u201c ontvangen.<\/p>\n

\u201eDoor het gebruik van de biobased variant van de C2C-gecertificeerde lijm Loctite HB S verlagen we de CO2<\/sub>-voetafdruk,” aldus Derix. “Deze innovatieve maatregel is een volgende stap om de duurzaamheid van onze productieprocessen en eindproducten te optimaliseren. Ons doel is een transitie naar een circulaire economie.”<\/p>\n

Bij de DERIX-groep staan de thema’s duurzaamheid en circulariteit centraal. Het bedrijf is al jaren een koploper op het gebied van duurzame innovatie in de branche.<\/p>\n

Zo is de DERIX-groep sinds oktober 2023 volledig klimaatneutraal\u201c<\/a> . Sinds mei 2021 levert het bedrijf zijn houten onderdelen standaard met een terugnamegarantie<\/a>. Talloze referentieprojecten (The Cradle<\/a>, luchtschiphangar<\/a>, Circl<\/a>) zijn met het oog op de circulaire economie zo ontworpen en gerealiseerd dat ze na het einde van hun levensduur eenvoudig gedemonteerd kunnen worden. Daarnaast werkt DERIX sinds 2023 nauw samen met Madaster<\/a> om via materiaalpaspoorten het hergebruik van onderdelen te bevorderen<\/p>\n
