De Derix-groep heeft een nieuwe, belangrijke mijlpaal bereikt op zijn ambitieuze weg naar maximale duurzaamheid en het behoud van ressources. Hun product Derix X-LAM krijgt de certificering \u2018Cradle to Cradle Certified\u00ae Gold\u2019 en behaalt \u2018Platinum\u2019 in de categorie \u2018Material Health\u2019. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Hiermee is de Derix-groep het eerste bedrijf in de branche, dat een Cradle to Cradle productcertificering met het certificeringslevel \u2018Gold\u2019 behaalt en dit op het gebied van materi\u00eble gezondheid zelfs nog overtreft. <\/p>\n

Cradle to Cradle Certified\u00ae is een wereldwijd erkende productnorm, die de circulariteit en duurzaamheid van producten beoordeelt. Hieraan liggen vijf prestatiecriteria ten grondslag: materiaalgezondheid (\u2018material health\u2019), circulariteit (\u2018product circularity\u2019), schone lucht en klimaatbescherming (\u2018clean air & climate protection\u2019), water- en bodembeheer (\u2018water & soil stewardship\u2019) en sociale eerlijkheid (\u2018social fairness\u2019). De resultaten worden in het productregister van het \u2018Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute\u2019 op een beoordelingsformulier (\u2018Scorecard\u2019) gepresenteerd. Derix X-LAM behaalt hier vier keer \u2018Gold\u2019 en een keer \u2018Platinum\u2019. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe zijn blij dat we dit belangrijke certificeringsproces met zo\u2019n uitstekend resultaat hebben afgesloten,\u201c zegt Simone Derix, directielid bij de Derix-groep. \u201cDe keuring op de verschillende gebieden was heel uitgebreid. Het was een uitdaging om alle vereiste bewijzen en documenten aan te leveren. Tegelijkertijd laat de grondige en buitengewoon zorgvuldige keuring ook zien hoe betrouwbaar en veelzeggend het bereikte certificeringslevel is. Dat maakt het resultaat erg waardevol en we zijn trots op deze onderscheiding,\u201d vertelt Simone Derix blij.<\/p>\n

De Derix-groep heeft ruim twee jaar geleden zijn X-LAM-productie enorm vergroot en de productiecapaciteit sterk uitgebreid. Het bedrijf heeft zich tot doel gesteld om de houtbouw te bevorderen en daarmee een bouwmethode met enorme mogelijkheden voor klimaatbescherming populair te maken. Als er consequent met hout gebouwd zou worden, zouden miljoenen tonnen CO2<\/sub> langdurig worden opgeslagen en daarmee worden onttrokken aan de atmosfeer, wat het broeikaseffect op een doeltreffende manier tegengaat. Een kubieke meter hout dat voor de bouw wordt gebruikt slaat namelijk een ton koolstofdioxide op. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe zijn voortdurend op zoek naar nieuwe mogelijkheden om bouwen met hout nog duurzamer en grondstofbesparender te maken dan het al is. Dit kantoor- en restaurantgebouw wordt momenteel gebouwd in de Medienhafen in D\u00fcsseldorf. Bij het ontwerp, de planning en de bouw worden alle processen in cycli gedacht en wordt over de gehele waardeketen gestreefd naar circulaire oplossingen. Essenti\u00eble bouwelementen zijn van hout en worden vervaardigd volgens het principe van %22design for disassembly%22: Er worden omkeerbare verbindingen gebruikt om de grootst mogelijke recycleerbaarheid door demontage te bereiken. ABN Amro Bank, Amsterdam – Triodos Bank, Zeist<\/strong><\/p>\n

Deze twee gebouwen vallen op door hun focus op circulair bouwen. Je ziet dit zelfs terug in de naam van het %22Circl%22-paviljoen van ABN Amro. In dit paviljoen is het concept circulariteit overal doorgevoerd: van de keuze van duurzame bouwmaterialen tot de huur van verlichting en liften, de implementatie van een zelfvoorzienend energieconcept en het elimineren van alles wat overbodig is – consequent tot in de naam van het paviljoen.<\/p>\n

Circulaire economie en duurzaamheid stonden ook centraal bij de planning van het nieuwe kantoor van Triodos Bank. De draagconstructie is bijvoorbeeld voor bijna 100% van hout gemaakt en de vijf verdiepingen hoge houten structuur kan volledig worden gedemonteerd. De opdrachtgever zelf ziet zijn gebouw als een %22materiaalbank%22, omdat de bouwelementen na demontage opnieuw kunnen worden gebruikt. <\/p>\n
