Bouwen met de gelamineerde houten elementen van DERIX heeft daarom een positieve invloed op het milieu, helemaal omdat het hout voor onze gelamineerde houten onderdelen uitsluitend wordt gewonnen uit duurzaam beheerde bossen. In een speciaal hiervoor ontwikkelde sorteerinstallatie worden de optische en mechanische eigenschappen van iedere lamel beoordeeld door middel van voortdurend r\u00f6ntgenen en scannen. Wij gebruiken het op deze manier gesorteerde hout effici\u00ebnt en optimaal, doordat wij rekening houden met de verschillende constructieve belastingen. Alle afzonderlijke productieonderdelen worden voorzien met een barcode en RFID-tag en onafgebroken gevolgd, van grondstof tot eindproduct. Onze CNC-bewerkingsmachines bewerken onderdelen van maximaal 60 meter lang tot op de millimeter nauwkeurig. Dit bewerkingsproces kan bovendien precies herhaald worden. De overdracht van de constructiegegevens vindt direct vanuit het CAD-programma plaats en lasertechnologie zorgt voor de uitlijning van het te bewerken stuk. De consequente overdracht van het BIM-model naar de CAM-software en de daaruit voortvloeiende aansturing van de CNC-machines voorkomen mogelijke oorzaken van fouten. Elk onderdeel bij ons heeft een digitale tweelingbroer. Bij boogliggers worden dankzij deze gecombineerde opbouw de hogere spanningen in de buitenste duw- en trekzones uitgeoefend op lamellen met een grotere sterkte. Zo bereiken we bij gebruik van de gehele grondstof een grotere sterkte van de gelijmde doorsnede. Die waardes van de GL-klassen (GL = glulam = gelamineerd hout) staan voor de karakteristieke waarde van de buigsterkte in in N\/mm\u00b2. De \u201eh\u201c en \u201ec\u201c bij de aanduidingen van de DIN EN 14080:2013-09 staan voor homogeen en gecombineerd opgebouwd gelamineerd hout. Een gecombineerde sterkteklasse \u201eGL xxc\u201c kan door ons bewerkstelligd worden door de opbouw van verschillende dwarsdoorsneden. Gelamineerd hout met hogere sterkteklassen kan zeer economisch met een gecombineerde opbouw worden geproduceerd. De lamellen met een grotere sterkte worden hierbij zo geplaatst dat hierop de meeste trekspanning wordt uitgeoefend. De lamellen met kleinere sterktes worden daarentegen in de kern geplaatst of op een plek waarop drukspanning wordt uitgeoefend. Homogeen gelamineerd hout van \u00e9\u00e9n sterkteklasse wordt alleen in uitzonderlijke gevallen gebruikt, bijvoorbeeld bij onderdelen waarop hoofdzakelijk drukkrachten worden uitgeoefend. Reden hiervoor zijn de hogere kosten en het feit dat de productie hiervan meer tijd kost in de voorbereiding. Daardoor ontstaat een houtvochtpercentage dat in evenwicht is met de temperatuur en de luchtvochtigheid van de omgeving \u2013 het zogenaamde evenwichtsvochtgehalte. De verandering van het houtvochpercentage veroorzaakt een volumeverandering: het krimpen en zwellen van het hout. De mate waarin het hout krimpt en zwelt varieert sterk naargelang de richting van het hout. Bij de engineering van de constructie moet hiermee rekening worden gehouden. Hierbij worden afzonderlijke gelamineerde houten liggers verlijmd tot samengestelde dwarsdoorsneden. Dankzij blokverlijmingen van twee afzonderlijke liggers van gelamineerd hout kun je de beperkte liggerbreedte overstijgen die is veroorzaakt door de productie. Zo bestaan liggers met een breedte van 28 centimeter of meer normaal gesproken uit een verlijming van twee afzonderlijke doorsneden. Eenvoudige verlijmingen met een volledig rechthoekige doorsnede van gelamineerd hout worden vervaardigd conform DIN EN 14080:2013-09. Door middel van blokverlijmingen kunnen echter ook grote doorsneden geproduceerd worden. Voor de productie gelden de eisen conform DIN 1052-10:2012-05 respectievelijk DIN EN 14080:2013-09. Blokverlijmde onderdelen worden vaak gebruikt bij brugconstructies of bij sterk belaste kolommen. Het samengestelde effect van beide bouwmaterialen wordt gerealiseerd met behulp van penvormige of gelijmde verbindingsmiddelen. In de samengestelde doorsnede heeft de houten doorsnede een dragende functie in de trekzone en het beton een dragende functie in de duwzone. Dankzij het samengestelde effect kunnen grotere overspanningen bereikt worden dan ten opzichte van conventionele houten vloerconstructies. Tegelijkertijd is het eigen gewicht lager dan bij zuivere betonnen vloeren.
