At the Dach+Holz trade fair, which took place in Cologne in July, the DERIX Group distributed Kiri plants to visitors at its booth and invited them to take part in a competition: Whoever can prove the largest growth of the Kiri plant by end of September 2022 will win a high-quality prize. <\/p>\n

After careful evaluation of all the photos sent in, the winner is determined. The winning plant had reached the impressive height of 1.70 m by the deadline and is now even over 2.50 m high! We are impressed and congratulate the winner with the green thumb from the district of Cloppenburg.<\/p>\n

\u201eI am very happy to have won the Kiri competition. I think the secret of my success lies in the intensive care of the plant. At first I kept it in a pot in the greenhouse. Of course, I always watered well and only gave her good natural fertiliser: Horn shavings and fresh sheep manure from the neighbour. Since the closing date, my Kiri plant has grown considerably more: it now measures 2.50 m and has really big, velvety leaves. She is my pride and joy<\/em>,\u201c the winner revealed to us.<\/p>\n

His kiri tree will soon be moved again and transplanted to the front garden – there it can continue to thrive and be admired especially well. <\/p>\n

The winner has already received his voucher worth 500 euros and is looking forward to a special weekend with his wife at Hotel Jakarta in Amsterdam<\/a>.<\/p>\n

 Second chance to win<\/strong><\/p>\n

All other Kiri gardeners will get a second chance to win and can send in photos with proof of size of their plants until May 31, 2023. The prize consists of an individual guided tour of the outstanding reference building “Floating Office Rotterdam” with an exclusive meal worth 100 euros at the restaurant “Putaine<\/em>” located there.<\/p>\n
