Vibrations <\/strong>in supporting structures<\/h1>\n

The significance <\/strong>of the natural frequency<\/h2>\n

When walking, for example, an excitation of approx. 4.00 Hz occurs. Eurocode 5 therefore requires a first natural frequency of at least 8.00 Hz for a sufficient distance to the excitation frequency. A load distribution transverse to the span direction as well as higher damping also contribute to improving the vibration behaviour.
